I am a qualified psychotherapist and hypnotherapist with 24 years experience. I pride myself in providing long term practical strategies to support individuals, couples and families deal with challenging situations and return to a balanced mental wellbeing.

I have a BSc (Honours) in Psychology, an MA in Creative Writing, a Diploma in Psychotherapy & Hypnotherapy and am an NLP Master Practitioner.

My additional training in body-psychotherapy, primal therapy, family constellations, sex and relationships therapy, trauma and transactional analysis has helped me combine a set of tools that deliver a highly effective integrated approach to therapy.

I also have a DBS Enhanced Certificate to work with children.

Before I became a therapist in 1997, I worked in sales and marketing within electronic publishing and accounting software. My experience of corporate life helps me better understand and support clients who work in industry.

Whilst working full time and raising my two sons I studied with the Open University, the National College of Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy, who are UKCP registered, PPD Learning, the Berne Institute and also in Sweden and Denmark.

As part of my continued professional development I have taken further training in Somatic Experience  trauma therapy.

I am a member of the British Psychological Society and the National Register of Hypnotherapists & Psychotherapists.

I have appeared on the TV programme ‘Art & Soul’ about the use of hypno-pictography and ‘The Look of Lurve’ for ITV some years ago. More recently I have taken part in various radio talk shows for BBC Radio Kent and BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Radio.

I have written a therapeutic workbook for couples looking to improve their relationships (not yet published), and am currently editing my first novel – a psychological drama about how deceit, loss and betrayal are carried through generations, and how one woman fights to break free from the constraints of narcissism to find her identity.
