Qualified psychotherapist and hypnotherapist with over 21 years experience

Carla Devereux prides herself on providing long term practical strategies that support individuals, couples and families deal with challenging situations and return to mental wellbeing.

Carla is a qualified psychotherapist and hypnotherapist with over 21 years experience in working with adults, teenagers and children.

She has a BSc (Honours) in Psychology, an MA in Creative Writing, a Diploma in Psychotherapy & Hypnotherapy and is an NLP Master Practitioner. Carla has a DBS Enhanced Certificate to work with children.

Work will begin straight away and you will most likely come away with some new insights and a few exercises to do prior to your next appointment. 

Carla studied with the Open University, the National College of Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy, who are UKCP registered, the Berne Institute and also in Sweden and Denmark. She also trained in body-psychotherapy, primal therapy, family constellations, sex and relationships therapy and Transactional Analysis.

She is a member of the British Psychological Society and the National Register of Hypnotherapists & Psychotherapists.

Carla has appeared on the TV programme ‘Art & Soul’ about the use of hypno-pictography, Kilroy and ‘The Look of Lurve’ for ITV. She has been interviewed on BBC Radio Kent and BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Radio.  

Carla has written a therapeutic workbook for couples looking to improve their relationships (not published). She is currently editing her first novel – a psychological drama about how deceit, loss and betrayal are carried through four generations, and how one woman fights to break free from the constraints of narcissism to find her identity.

Carla Devereux uses a combined therapeutic approach of psychotherapy and hypnotherapy to support clients work through their presenting issues and achieve their desired outcome.
